Wild places news Pine marten at Thirlmere Share Isaac's excitement at recording the first pine marten at Thirlmere in 40 years. Philomena (pictured here) was part of a reintroduction project and was identified by her unique bib markings. A warm friendship at Glenlude Read more about an interesting collaboration Ellie spotted in at Glenlude. While surveying adders, she photographed a temperature sensitive heather beetle warming itself up on a sunbathing adder. 30 years' caring for Skye John shared highlights of our 30+ years of caring for Skye's wild places with the community during a talk at the end of March. He also warned of disruptions at the Bla Bheinn car park while we upgrade the toilets.
