The levels of the Award have been renamed. We will be launching the first level, known as the Wild Places Guardian in March. Further levels, referred to as the Wild Places Protector and Wild Places Champion will be rolled out in due course.
Criteria – to achieve an Award, each participant must:
REVISED: Achieve the Four Challenges: Discover, Explore, Conserve & Share
NO CHANGE: Complete the required minimum time commitment – 25 hours.
NEW: Have an active involvement in decision making and planning of their Award
EXPANDED: Develop awareness of an inspirational person who has influenced the protection and restoration of Wild Places
Process
Brand new user-friendly web-based forms will replace the Proposal and Certificate Completion Word documents (Word documents will no longer be accepted).

We are holding a series of initial FREE training workshops to support you to deliver the redesigned Award – this is for anyone who intends to deliver an Award this year, including those who have delivered the Award before.
